DALLAS, TX – October 22, 2014 – Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), the nation’s second largest premium wine and spirits distributor, is pleased to announce the promotion of Stacy Gabel to Vice President, Sales for RNDC-Ohio. In her new role, Gabel will accept full leadership responsibility for the RNDC-Ohio business unit upon the retirement of the incumbent RNDC-Ohio President, Ed Nemo.

This appointment provides an excellent example of RNDC’s commitment to diversity which recognizes Gabel as the first female sales executive to lead a state-level business unit with RNDC. Beyond this achievement, Gabel has an established record of successful leadership and strong business results.

Gabel began her career with Midwest Wine and Spirits (now RNDC-Ohio) as a spirits sales representative. Her career journey took her to Glazer Distributors of Ohio where she held progressive management roles. Her last role at Glazer was Director, Sales for the Diageo Division. In 2010, Gabel returned to RNDC as a Retail National Accounts Manager supporting the Kroger chain with corporate responsibilities to manage Kroger’s activities and initiatives throughout the RNDC/Kroger footprint. Most recently, she took on the assignment of Alliance Division Manager on the RNDC-Ohio team.

With 17 years of industry experience, Gabel brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role. Her management responsibilities have included spirits and wine on- and off-premise while maintaining a strong understanding of the chain grocery channel. Additionally, she was a participant in the national RNDC Women’s Leadership Forum and was selected to participate in the RNDC Senior Executive Leadership Forum (SELF). Gabel is a Certified Professional Category Analyst which is recognition for educational achievement with the Category Management Association. She is also an active member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF).

Gabel will continue to reside in Dayton, Ohio with her husband Jim and daughter Katy. Effective January 01, 2015, Stacy will report directly to Joe Gigliotti, Region President Control States.
