Age 74, Died on September 21, 1999. Mr. Carlos was executive vice president, treasurer and director of National Distributing Co., Inc. and Servitex, Inc. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 4, 1925. Mr. Carlos served in the United States Marine Corps from 1943 to 1946 during W.W. II. He served as a member of the parish council of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation where he was made an Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the highest honor bestowed on a lay person. An active member of the Greek community, Mr. Carlos also was a member of the Diakonia Dekka at the diocese level and was a member of Leadership 100 at the national level. He was a supporter of many charities including Hospice Atlanta and donated to the scholarship fund at Georgia State University. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eula Caras Carlos, his children and their spouses: Chris and Marina Carlos, Jimmy and Helen Carlos, John and Elaine Carlos, Paul and Helen Carlos MacBeth, brother, Michael C. Carlos and his spouse, Thalia N. Carlos, sister, Peggy Carlos Caldwell and her spouse, Larry Caldwell, granddaughters, Kari Ann, Jordan, Angela, Drew and Andrea, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday evening, September 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at H.M. Patterson & Son, 1020 Spring Street, NW, Atlanta, GA. where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation on Clairmont Road with Rev. Fr. Michael Kouremetis officiating. Interment will be at Arlington Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be James W. Caras, Pete W. Caras, Dorel Radivoj, James E. Gilmer Jr., James P. Caras and Peter Zatzos. Honorary pallbearers will be Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
